tarah despain (ada)

After attending the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Drama, Tarah DeSpain starred in several New Media shows and television commercials, including spots for L’OREAL, COORS LIGHT, and PINCH PROVISIONS. She has been a guest star on various television shows and has recently completed two feature films: THIS IS MARTIN BONNER, which was an official selection at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, and STOMPING GROUND, a horror film due out this year. She currently resides in Los Angeles.

 

lydia hyslop (writer/director/producer/margot)

Lydia Hyslop is from Greensboro, North Carolina. She studied acting, writing, and directing at UNC-Greensboro and furthered her studies in Los Angeles. Lydia acted in Zach Clark's WHITE REINDEER and VACATION! and in Chad Hartigan's LUKE AND BRIE ARE ON A FIRST DATE. She is also featured in Tim and Eric's short LA GUYZ. She directed and shot the super 8 music video 999 for North Carolina band Paint Fumes. BURNOUT is her feature film directorial debut.

sean mcelwee (cinematographer)

Sean McElwee graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Cinematography in 2004. Since then, he has shot several feature films, including THIS IS MARTIN BONNER, an Audience Award winner at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. He has served as a Gaffer on music videos for PANIC AT THE DISCO, PLAIN WHITE T'S, and PARAMORE, and as a camera assistant on the HBO documentary series ON FREDDIE ROACH. He currently resides in Los Angeles.



michelle witten (editor)

Michelle Witten is a Seattle and LA-based editor and has been cutting films since 2004. She has worked on a diverse range of projects, including features, documentaries, broadcast commercials, music videos, and art installation pieces. Most recently, she was a co-editor on the Sundance documentary THE INTERNET'S OWN BOY: THE STORY OF AARON SWARTZ, and the PBS doc ICE WARRIORS, a profile of the US Paralympic Sled Hockey team. She is currently cutting the feature doc HOW I GOT OVER, the story of a group of formerly homeless women who perform a play about their lives on the Kennedy Center stage. Past credits include features FAT KID RULES THE WORLD, DRONES, and HOW TO CHEAT, and documentaries WHEEDLE'S GROOVE, THE DUDE, and WHITE LINES AND THE FEVER: THE DEATH OF DJ JUNEBUG.



the kin divine (score)

Simon French and Jack Diaz make up the eclectic sound that is The Kin Divine. Having met in French's native Australia, the duo reconnected in Los Angeles years later.  Multi-talented musician French teamed up with singer-songwriter Diaz to create the original score for BURNOUT. Their colorful approach to collaborating on this project was the catalyst for their new band, FLEURS, which is quickly gaining notoriety on the LA music scene.
